It appears that you are cracking a joke, but I cannot stop from replying to your post. Why are you asking God to save IV? For the things we cannot do or for the things we dcon't understand, why do we always have to bring in 'God' in the picture? Can't we even crack a joke without brining in God?

I went through the Federal Firearm Law and here is what I found:

Agreed the statement "Indian Americans are brilliant" is too much generalisation, but Many of the immigrants from India and China are here because they are highly educated, so they put a lot of emphasis on academics, as a sports star might on his/her children in sports, likewise a movie star.
Its better to be guided by aspirations than to be misguided by carelessness.
This is the third time an Indian American has won the competition in a row.
BTW, the huge number of Indian American partcipants is not due to the fact that " Indian Americans" are brilliant... These children (at least most) are partcipating not becasue they have talent but they are being forced to by the aspirations of their parents.

This is a bunch of baloney.
Whether this is a recession, a depression or a hyperinflationary cycle and economic wipeout, America will remain the pre-eminent world power in the next quarter century.
The US has the most trusted currency int he world(sometimes I wonder why, but the fact is it remains such or else its value should rationally be a lot lower right now).
It has the best universities and research centers, and remains a magnet to the worlds most motivated people.
It has the strongest military in direct face to face combat.
It has the largest, most well integrated, and diverse economy in the world.
Cultural differences while they exist are far less than many other democracies, mainly since this is a newer country built on diversity and tolerance. They have just elected Obama as president, if that does not represent the best of secular ideals, I am not sure what does. The US has a lot of cultural bonds in entertainment, sports, social programs like Medicare/Social Securities, Large corporations and brands etc that are remarkable cohesive forces.
This is a pure wish list from a bitter former KGB man, who is given a megaphone by an even more bitter Putin, who is still smarting from the disintegration of the USSR and wants the same for America.
Dream on former KGB, dream on. If you want to know how united this country is, just remember back to the period after 9/11.

Sorry to hear that your 485 is denied....
My question to all the gurus here...I wonder what happens to EAD and AP after you appeal 485 denial?
I know that if your 485 gets denied then EAD and AP are void but lets say OP files 485 MTR(motion to reopen), does he have to reapply for EAD and AP or does that get reinstated based on the reciept he gets on 485 MTR?
Should the person stop working till he gets 485 MTR receipt or till he reapplies for new EAD and gets the approval?
Just curoius to know as these days denials seems to be the trend at USCIS and it would be helpful for all those who rely on EAD only and not sure what to do when there is a 485 denials for what ever reason.
FYI...I am still maintaining my H1 and also have a EAD but plan to switch to EAD only and not renew my H1 this year.

1. if your company pays for everything, why such reluctance to put up a few more dollars for your own cause? think of those that pay for everything themselves and still contribute.
2. each contribution to paypal costs, they take a chunk off it. making small 10 buck contribution is really not the intelligent way to go.
3. there used to be a 20/mnth recurring contribution. now it does no exist. what do you want? should we throw out the original 20 buck guys? of course they can continue doing it. i can't imagine why it would put you off? btw we did not really lose any money by going to a minimum of 50- you know why? those who were serious still contributed. others who were whining at that time (why is there not a 10/mnth option) were in many (though not all) cases not going to contribute anyway. this is just fyi.
4. what is 50 bucks a month? step back and think sometime. a family meal/movie? do you indulge yourself occasionally worth 50 bucks?
i think in many cases the answer is yes. the money we need for lobbying ie very large....it's hard to make it form 20 bucks at a time when barely 5% of the membership contributes.
you have the choice hereof donating 100 now and considering it as two 50 buck donations, so your next one will be delayed. there are various ways of looking at this.

Unless all of the 10,000 immigrants are going to bring money from their respective countries to buy homes, it is not going to change anything signficantly. You are proposing to take the money that is in the system, i.e asking banks to lend you money. The current crisis is credit crunch. Banks dont have money. All they have is mortgage bonds. There are no takers of these bonds. They are becoming junk. So, if any money from outside flows in, there will be some difference.

i have to travel India this month and returning US in oct on AP. What will be the validity of I-94 i am gonna get? AP expires in Jan 2008.
And what will happen if this i-94 on AP gets expired. Do i need to leave the country?

Has anyone been through this new process and successfully pass through MVI and renewed their license or is anyone waiting for the letter from MVI for more than 7 days.

EB3 discrimination is quite blatant. Folks with a date of March 2004 should be automatically considered EB2 based on five year experience. This is not just for EB3-I or EB2-I but for all chargeabilities.
That will require a change of law. Current law is based on qualification for the job, not that of candidate filling that job. If I am a PhD, but an employer needs a tool cleaner, which I am willing to accept, I'll be sponsored for whatever category the tool cleaner position falls in.
If someone has gained 5 yrs experience waiting for on EB3, and wants to move to EB2, he/she will need to look for a job/sponsorship which requires 5 yrs experience. It is that simple. Lot of people do that...and retain their original PD. Isn't it a nice thing?
