This is what happens after 485 receipts.
1. If one has not applied for EAD and TD , one applies for them and wait anxiously for their receipts.
2. Meanwhile some people start getting FP notices and one does not receive them he or she gets anxious. Finally one gets FP.
3. Meanwhile one gets the receipts for EAD, TD. One keeps checking the status online.
4. One goes and gives finger prints for INS.
5. Finally one gets his or her EAD and TD after 5 to 6 months , One enjoys the moment briefly.
6. Its almost a month since one received EAD and AP , Its time to apply for renewal.
7. Repeat step 1
8. Its almost 15 months since the first FP and one receives the second one because "Finger prints expire" ,
One has to repeat these steps in a cycle for almost 6 to 10 years depending on PD and "Nationality"
Meanwhile if USCIS changes any processes anywhere in the pipeline expect further delays.
I think best thing is to do participate in IV activities.

Did you or someone you know experience such questions at POE for an advanced parole? Or are you just posing a hypothetical?
I have recently re-entered on AP and not a single question was asked. Not only that, I was not fingerprinted or photographed at the counter like a visa holder would be. I was taken to the back office where an agent entered information from my AP into the computer, stamped the AP and gave it back to me. No questions asked. Period. This was at the JFK airport in NY.
Parole is meant to grant entry to resume adjustment of status. Parole is not subject to employment, it is subject to a pending I-485.
If this is a hypothetical from you, then please shake these imaginations and live in peace and enjoy EAD and AP.

This is wrong. EAD can be issued when both of the following conditions MUST meet:
I140 has been approved
I485 application is 180 days old
UTTER NONSENSE
You become eligible to file for the EAD/AP THE day you become eligible for AND actually file for I-485.
HOWEVER your 180 day calendar Begins ONLY WHEN Your I-140 has been approved AND your I-485 application has been pending for 180 days. That after 180 such days can you change ur job and ur application for Permanent Residency is NO longer dependant on the employer through whom you filed your GC.

I am probably waiting for the longest here for EAD, my app received on July 2nd at NCS. Called numerous times, sent form 7001, emailed senators twice, 3 infopass appointments, still no progress. I submitted expedite request based on humanitarian grounds last week, have been calling daily to check status of expedite and still remains pending. My case now pending about 157 days. Anything more that I need to do ?
You are not the only one....my application was also sent on July 2nd and I got FP notices (both my wife and I) and AP approved (both my wife and I).
My wife received EAD on 10/22 and so far there has been absolutely no update on my LUD and EAD application is still pending. The service center is Nebraska and I am the primary applicant. I think there a a lot of people in the same boat.

Here is my recent experience,
in the month of april my wife and I had received RFEs for 325 and birth certificate, we submitted the evidence and there was soft LUDs for almost a week, case status said a decision will be made in 60 days. I t is more than 90 days, so I called up the customer service (I very well know that they can't issue GC as the priority date is not current) I spoke to her as a layman and filed for a service request. Well, I don't think I am at the end of line of 300,000 people. There must be lots and lots of people whose priority date is after April 2004 might have filed. This includes 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
So I think 3 years is intelligent guess. But who knows I am just trying to make myself happy and trying to stay positive.
Also remeber there is a big number of LC BACKLOG cases, all with PD prior to 2005, that will be cleared by end of next month and would get to apply AOS some time soon.

Do you know the difference between highly skilled legal immigrants and illegal immigrants?. Why do you have to imply that all highly skilled are illegal, infact 99.99% of highly skilled workers (Tech workers) came to the USA legally and continue to live legally. They are here at the behest of their employers.

I've lived all over the world and no one ever said i could not talk. they just want to come up with ways to take credit of your work.

Most important is how you deal with stress associated with racial slurs, difference in treatment, and all the above issues. This has direct impact on health and many people in these conditions are victims of stress.
The h1b - GC situation is well known to everyone and they know you are indentured, some managers are called problem solvers (they pretend to hear ur voice, help you from their side and get the work done and try to ease pressure off you if they have an option), whereas some managers are called problem creators (they add additional pressure on you and make u miserable so that they get the work done). The reason companies support their American workers who involve in racial slurs is to avoid issues. It is easy to kick you out and blame you rather than catering to ur problem.

Its very hard to do that..speaking of which this anti-indian guy who sits next to me at work was making life horrible for few weeks. Things are sorted out now... I have a great Manager.

You most probably have half the education that I have, your salary is most likely half that of mine, and your moral standard is probably half that of mine. If I start ridiculing you more, you will suffer sleepless nights. So I won't do it (after this post, I mean).
